Laser Hair and Vein Removal with Sciton Profile ClearScanTM

At Da Vinci Medical Spa Inc., we have a highly sophisticated medical-grade laser (ProfileTM ClearScanTM from Sciton) used for quick hair removal coupled with a computer-guided scanning system that automates the treatment, ensuring that your skin is rapidly and evenly treated. ClearScan contains an infrared laser that can selectively target microstructures like hair follicles. It is very effective for lighter skin types and, because of the relatively low absorption of this light by melanin, it is the best choice when treating darker skin types. Additionally, the ability to safely treat sun-tanned skin makes this the treatment of choice for active individuals. If required small "spider" veins may be easily removed with the laser as well.

Broadband light (BBL) and Levulan

Acne can be effectively treated with BBL particularly when coupled with Levulan topical cream to destroy acne-causing bacteria on the skin. An integrated thermo-electric cooled sapphire plate keeps the treatment area safe and cool.


Facial Creams

We use the Environ line of pharmaceutical-grade creams to optimize your skin treatment. The Environ line contains both in-house facial peels and take-home maintenance creams tailored to your needs. All ingredients used by Environ have a scientific basis for their inclusion. In additon, we offer several Obagi Nu-Derm for melasma and anti-aging plus Obagi Clendizerm for acne treatment.  Lorivia is a simple multi-purpose skin care facial cream used by our clients for anti-aging.

The Aging Skin

As we age our skin suffers the "3Ds": 1) Deterioration 3) Descent and 3) Deflation (loss of fat buttresses). At Da Vinci Medical Spa Inc. Dr. Brian Taylor and his knowledgeable staff can address each of these problems with: broad-band light (BBL) and BotoxR to imporve skin color, tone and to reduce pores and wrinkles. Descent refers to lack of soft tissue support with time leading to skin sagginess, a problem easily addressed throught the use of our BBL skin tightening apparatus. Finally, deflation of skin tissue can be addressed with the use of hyaluronic acid and other facial fillers as discussed below.

Liquid Face lift

The Liquid Face Lift attempts to correct deflation via the injection of hyaluronic acid (Teosyal/Juvederm/Revanesse/Redexis/Restylane/Perlane) over fat buttresses (cheekbones, the jaw-line or above the orbits) to provide volume, moisture and a non-surgical face-lift. In addition, hyaluronic acid can fill the "hollows" and dark circles under your eyes, while erasing wrinkles and deeper skin folds (nasolabial lines and Marionette lines).

Photofacials/Acne Treatment/BBL

At Da Vinci Medical Spa Inc. we use Sciton's broad band light source (BBL) is able to treat the following conditions of the face/hands/neck and chest: fine wrinkles, age spots, small facial veins (telangectasia), rosacea, redness, flushing, solar lentigines (freckles), Café Au Lait maculae, birth marks, brown spots, port wine stains, red spots (haemangioma), enlarged pores, poikiloderma (red neck), burn erythematic and hyper- pigmentation. As this is non-invasive, there is little to no down-time.

ProFractional Skin Resurfacing with Sciton Laser

Weight Loss Management

We have one of three packages to choose from according to your need and budget. Our weight loss management is focused of lifestyle modification and combines the experience of a registered dietician, medical doctor and registered nurse for all 3 packages. We are the only spa in York Region to offer precise anti-oxidant monitoring without taking blood. Your anti-oxidant level is like a crystal-ball providing you with a glimpse into possible future adverse medical conditions. Depending on your package, you may be eligible for other intensive treatments to be discussed with the doctor at your initial consultation.

Weight Management - Acute Weight Loss Phase

We give you the tools to transform your body from a Ford to a FerrariTM.

Before looking at the prices recall that cigarettes are about $11 a pack and a case of 24 beers is about $30.00. Being consevative, the average Canadian who smokes and drinks probable smokes 2 packs a week and drinks 2 cases of beer a month. From smoking and drinking beer alone then, this Canadian would spend about $2,250.00 a year. This does not include fast food.

The Maserati Plan (12 weeks) Cost = $650

The Lamborghini Plan (12 weeks) Cost = $850

- Initial blood work/ECG followed by cholesterol levels at the end of week 12 - Weekly weights & weekly waist circumference - Antioxidant levels monthly - 10% discount off vitamin package for 6 months (solid separately) - Nurse VS qweekly - Biweekly visit with nutritionist for month 1 then monthly - Monthly visit with MD (covered by OHIP) - Group walking three times a week (minimum of 6 participants three times a week from April-September). The Ferrari Plan (12 weeks) Cost = $1500

- Initial blood work/ECG followed by cholesterol levels at the end of week 12 - Twice weekly weights & weekly waist circumference - Antioxidant levels monthly - 15% discount off vitamin package for 9 months (sold separately) - Nurse VS twice weekly - Biweekly visit with nutritionist - Personal trainer/pilates - Group walking three times a week (minimum of 6 participants three times a week from April-September). Mall walking at Upper Canada in Newmarket for the remaining months. - Monthly visit with MD (covered by OHIP) - 24 hr. access to restricted personal web portal to keep track of weight management - Mesotherapy package reduced by a further 20%, once client attains BMI (body mass inducatioin) less than 30.

We guarantee at least one of the following: a 10% weight loss with this plan by the 12th week or a drop in 3 dress sizes, or a reduction in waist circumference of 3 inches (provided all parts of the plan are followed by client), otherwise the client may repeat the Ferrari Plan at a 50% discount (excluding vitamins and Mesotherapy).

Maintenance Plan - Lifestyle Change

For long-term weight loss, the client has to be ready to engage in permanent lifestyle changes. We give you these tools. The rest is up to you. The cost is identical for all clients and is $1500.00 for a nine month program and involves the following:

1) Visits with the nurse for weight and blood pressure every 2 weeks. 2) Nutritionist visits every 2 months (*clients may arrange for more visits at an extra fee) 3) MD visits every 3 months. 4) Monthly antioxidant levels at no extra fee. For those continuing from the Ferrari program, the vitamins remain at a 15% discount for nine months while those continuing from the Lamborghini program remain at a 10% discount for 6 months followed by 3 months without GST. 5) For those continuing from the Maserati program, they may purchase vitamins without GST for nine months. 6) Psychotherapist visits biweekly for 2 months then monthly for 2 months (*clients may arrange for more visits at an extra fee). 7) Cholesterol levels at the end of the 9 months. 8) Outdoors walking about Aurora (minimum of 6 participants three times a week from April-September). Mall walking at Upper Canada in Newmarket for the remaining months.

Mesotherapy - Lipodissolve and Cellulite Reduction

Are you exercising or counting your calories but you still have annoying areas of fat around your belly, love handles, thighs, buttocks, below the chin or under the bra strap? If so, then you are a candidate for Lipodissolve - a form of Mesotherapy whereby injections of precise amounts of a naturally occurring chemical (found in humans to Soy beans) are made just under the skin to dissolve the fat cells in that area. Unlike Liposuction, no excessive amounts of anesthetic are required, the process is gradual and controlled, and the possible complications are minimized. Mesotherapy can be used for other problems including cellulite reduction, but this requires an injection of a different cocktail of vitamins and chemicals than that of Lipodissolve in order to contour your body and reduce the cottage cheese pattern in the skin. As a matter of matter of fact several clients combine Lipodissolve and cellulite reduction together for optimal results.

Antioxidant Monitoring

Low anti-oxidant levels result in an inability to scavenger free radicals. This problem has been linked to diseases like cancer. We offer a way to monitor your anti-oxidant levels and potentially replenish them. This is an entirely non-invasive procedure. If not associated with weight loss programs, the cost is $30.00 a month. Purchase a package of 12 for $300.00
